We currently have the following positions available:
QC Chemist with 2 to 5 years experience in a pharmaceutical QC lab. However, entry level candidates will be considered. The basic function of the QC Chemist is to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of pharmaceutical and nutrapharmaceutical products according to FDA, cGMP and Boston Analytical, Inc. Standard Operating Procedures. Duties include analysis of pharmaceutical and nutrapharmaceutical products using HPLC, GC, Dissolution, AA, UV-Vis. Good Documentation Skills and ability to multitask are required.
Education Requirements A Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
Quality Specialist I . The basic function of the Quality Specialist I is to support the Quality Manager as well as the company's quality program by auditing chemists' routine work. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Audit routine project folders for conformance to company and customer requirements. Review and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs, Forms and Methods) Alternate Contact Person for QA questions relating to laboratory operations and client correspondences. Work with area management on the writing and issuance and tracking of deviations and investigations for closure. Perform / Assist in performing GMP audits.
Two or more years of analytical laboratory experiences, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment. Some QA/QC experience desirable. Knowledge of the regulations of the Food and Drug Administration, compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and pharmaceutical analyses is required. Familiarity with internal SOPs is helpful. Excellent communication skills and documentation skills are necessary. Basic computer skills, such as MS office software and chromatographic data handling software are desirable. Must have the ability and skill to perform the detailed job requirements noted above competently, safely and proficiently. Must be prudent, ethical, and credible and use good judgment. Must be goal-oriented, committed to the Company and its products, and have good interpersonal skills. Must be a team player with integrity and concern for the quality of Company products, services and staff members.
Education Requirements A bachelor's degree in a scientific field is required.
Calibration Lab Technician The basic function of the Calibration Lab Technician is to support the Technical Manager and the Technical Group by assisting laboratory personnel with installation, maintenance and equipment calibration issues. The main duties of the position are listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed. *Assists with maintenance, calibration and necessary repair of all equipment in the Analytical and the Microbiology laboratories. *Helps to maintain water system. *Assists with the proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials on an as needed basis. *Assists with calibration of equipment and instrumentation required for tests. *Assists with IQ, OQ, and PQ of new equipment. *Assists with installation, maintenance and calibration of stability chambers. *Assists Chemists and other Company and client personnel on an as needed basis. A minimum of 2 years related work experience required.
Education Requirements A high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of an Associates degree in a scientific discipline is required; however, relevant training and experience can offset the lack of formal educational background.
