Bacterial Endotoxin Testing

To ensure that your products, devices, and water samples do not contain dangerous bacterial endotoxins, Boston Analytical provides three distinct forms of Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) bacterial endotoxin testing. These LAL tests can measure even minute levels of endotoxin which may affect the results of animal studies or other sensitive trials that are being conducted.

Gel Clot Bacterial Endotoxin Testing
The gel clot test is useful as a limit assay.

Kinetic Chromogenic Bacterial
Endotoxin Testing

This is the most sensitive LAL test available. The kinetic chromogenic method is the general choice when sensitivity and absolute quantitation is required and when speed is a consideration.

Turbidimetric Bacterial Endotoxin Testing
Tubidimetric systems measure an increasing con-centration of insoluble coagulin released as the test progresses. This changes the turbidity of the sample solution. The rate at which turbidity in-creases is correlated with the endotoxin concentration in the sample.
